What the SAT code finder is
A free search tool for official SAT catalogs so you can find the right code when issuing a CFDI 4.0, filling the Carta Porte 3.1 complement, or checking customs references. It is not a full tax fiche or a CFDI builder: you get the code and name to paste into your PAC or TMS.
What it is and what it is for
ClaveProdServ is the 8-digit SAT code for each product or service line on a CFDI. In freight you also need units (e.g. E48), the goods ClaveProdServCP in Carta Porte, and operational CCP catalogs when required. This finder puts those catalogs in one place — free, no signup.
120k+ official SAT codes · CFDI 4.0 · Carta Porte 3.1. Source: SAT catalogs via phpcfdi. No IGI rates or computed TIGIE.

Main use cases
- CFDI 4.0 billing
- Find the ClaveProdServ for the service you bill (freight 78101800, handling, warehousing) and a coherent unit before stamping.
- Carta Porte 3.1
- Look up goods (c_ClaveProdServCP), transport mode, vehicle config (T3S2), SCT permits, hazmat, and stations.
- Customs reference
- Look up tariff fractions, customs offices, patents, regimes, and Incoterms. Does not calculate IGI or replace a customs broker.
Which catalogs are included
Main official SAT catalogs we export (approximate counts). The tool focuses on logistics, CFDI, and Carta Porte — not the entire SAT portal.
- c_ClaveProdServ (CFDI) — ~52k product/service codes, with logistics shortcuts (Division 78 and related).
- c_ClaveProdServCP — ~49k goods codes for the Carta Porte 3.1 complement.
- Units of measure — ~2.4k units (E48, HUR, KGM, TNE…).
- Carta Porte operational — Transport mode, vehicle config, trailer, SCT permits, figures, packaging, cargo, air/rail/maritime.
- Hazmat and stations — UN / hazmat numbers and station catalog.
- Customs (reference) — Tariff fractions, customs offices, patents, regimes, Incoterms, and CCP customs documents.
Does not include IGI calculation, live TIGIE, a full pedimento, or a tax fiche with duties. It is an official-catalog key finder for CFDI and Carta Porte.
Billing vs Accessorials vs Carta Porte vs Customs
Each tab filters the catalog to the job you are doing. Mixing levels is a common cause of rejects.
- CFDI billing
- What you charge on the invoice: service ClaveProdServ + unit. Example: road freight 78101800 with E48.
- Accessorials
- Charges on top of freight (detention, handling, weighing, storage). Separate CFDI lines with their own codes — not buried inside generic freight.
- Carta Porte
- Goods hauled (ClaveProdServCP), vehicle, permits, hazmat, and stations. The goods code is not the freight service code.
- Customs
- Fractions, customs offices, patents, regimes, and Incoterms for document cross-checks. Catalog reference only — no pedimento or duty calculation.
How to use it step by step
Three steps: search by description or code, pick the result in the right level, and copy the key into your PAC, TMS, or spreadsheet.
- Type what you invoice
freight, detention, gasoline, tractor…
Example: road freight
- Pick the result
Check the type: service, goods, unit or Carta Porte
Example: 78101800 · Road freight transportation
- Copy into your CFDI
Use “Copy code” or “Code + name” for your PAC
Example: 78101800 — Road freight transportation
What this finder is not
It does not replace tax advice, build CFDI XML, fully validate the complement with the SAT, or compute customs duties. OCL Cargo can stamp transport CFDIs and Carta Porte 3.1 in the product; this page only helps you pick the right catalog key.

SAT code FAQ
What is a SAT code finder?+
A tool to locate official SAT codes (ClaveProdServ, units, ClaveProdServCP, Carta Porte catalogs, and customs references) from a description or code. OCL Cargo’s finder is free, no signup, and uses exported official catalogs.
Which SAT code do I use for truckload freight?+
The most common is 78101800 (road freight) with unit E48 (Service). Use 78101801 for reefer and 78101802 for hazardous materials. Every CFDI line needs an exact ClaveProdServ.
Is the freight code the same as the goods code?+
No. The CFDI bills the transport service (Division 78). The Carta Porte 3.1 complement describes the goods with their own ClaveProdServCP and tariff fraction when required. Mixing them up is a common rejection/audit error.
Which unit of measure goes with freight?+
For most logistics services use E48 (Service). For demurrage (76122401) or time charges use HUR (Hour). For weight-based cargo use KGM or TNE. The unit must match how you price the line.
What is c_CveTransporte in Carta Porte?+
It is the transport mode catalog: 01 Federal motor carrier, 02 Maritime, 03 Air, 04 Rail, 05 Pipeline. Do not confuse it with c_ConfigVehicular (VL, C2, T3S2…), which describes vehicle configuration.
Does this finder calculate IGI or TIGIE fractions?+
No. You can look up tariff fractions and customs catalogs for reference, but we do not calculate IGI, TIGIE, or duties. Use your customs broker for the pedimento and final classification.
Do I need to register to use this finder?+
No. OCL Cargo’s SAT code finder is free and registration-free. It is built for shippers, 3PLs and carriers that issue or review freight CFDIs and Carta Porte.
Which catalogs does this finder include?+
CFDI ClaveProdServ (~52k), c_ClaveProdServCP (~49k), units, hazmat, stations, CCP 3.1 catalogs (mode, vehicle config, trailer, SCT permits, figures, packaging, etc.), and customs references (fractions, offices, patents, Incoterms).
Does it work for CFDI 4.0 and Carta Porte 3.1?+
Yes. ClaveProdServ and units apply to CFDI 4.0; transport mode, vehicle config, trailer, SCT permits and figure catalogs apply to Carta Porte 3.1.
Can OCL Cargo stamp the CFDI with Carta Porte?+
Yes. OCL Cargo can stamp transport invoices and Carta Porte 3.1, and also audit CFDI + complement + rate + GPS + POD before payment. This finder is the free tool to pick the code; the product automates issuance and control.
How do I search faster?+
Pick the level (Billing, Accessorials, Carta Porte, or Customs), type the name (“freight”, “detention”), an 8-digit code, a unit (E48), or a CCP code (T3S2, 01). Share searches with ?q=freight&nivel=facturacion.
